Pupil Premium
Even though all KS1 pupils are eligible for free school meals from September 2014, not every child will gain access to Pupil Premium Funding. Please ensure that you find out whether or not you are entitled to claim, as, if you are, then school receives extra financial support to help your child in school above and beyond the usual quality teaching all children are entitled to.
The Pupil Premium is funding from the government to provide additional support for pupils entitled to free school meals and children of service personnel. This funding goes directly to primary school headteachers to spend money on providing additional or enhanced learning experiences to meet these children’s needs.
KEY FACTS
Halton Holegate C of E Primary School will spend the funding in various ways. We will pay for designated teaching assistant time on a 1:1 or small group basis, additional resources and access to further opportunities as appropriate. This is not an exhaustive list as we are always looking at ways to support our pupils.
